Hydra-Lock arbors grip your part a full 360 degrees over the full length of the locating diameter. This large surface area means less force is required and less distortion. It will  withstand greater torque than conventional work holding and maintains accuracy of 5 microns and repeatability of 1 micron.

• Our steel sleeve designs are built with accuracy to 2 microns. Our most recent advancement in part holding is Hydra-Flex® (size limited to a maximum of 5” in diameter); with our patented high expansion solid sleeve material that triples the expansion of our hydraulic arbors.
• The split steel sleeve design offers greater flexibility in expansion or contraction with accuracy less than 5 microns.
• The Conform-A-Products® utilize our unique Hydra-Fibre® sleeve material, for thin walled parts or out of round parts, that averages center without rounding the part while withstanding high torque

Machining Arbor Designs with Flexible Applications

The machining arbors designed by Hydra-Lock can be used to hold a single part, a family of parts, or multiple parts on a hydraulic fixture with the highest accuracy in the industry.  They can also grip multiple locating diameters with different pressures simultaneously.

Arbors can be made  by Hydra-Lock with a variety of specific attributes, such as:

• The ability to withstand a corrosive environment like that kind that occur with EDM tanks
• The ability to hold single or multiple locating diameters
